Glasses are essential accessories for those with impaired vision, with approximately 64% of adults using some vision aid. Though they are entirely necessary, it is difficult to maintain a high level of cleanliness for glasses, since they are regularly exposed to dust, face oils, and fingerprints. This glasses cleaner simplifies the cleaning process, allowing users to simply place their glasses into the device, then turn the handle until they are clean.
Our Solution
The LenSwipe is a manually powered cleaning device that grabs eyeglasses gently to spray and wipe the lenses. Our device implements liquid spray with removable microfiber rollers to circumvent issues that arise from dry wiping, and to provide a consistent cleaning experience. To clean, the user places their eyeglasses between the rollers inside the LenSwipe, closes the lid, and cranks the lever on the side of the box. The LenSwipe was designed to be available in everyday, public areas, allowing users easy access to cleaning their glasses whenever they need.
