Prototyping
The prototype showed that our design ideas worked in practice, with a functioning prototype that can spray and clean a pair of glasses. The final prototype was made out of 3D-printed PLA, TPU, acrylic panels, microfibre cloth, and other metal hardware.

Final Prototype
Our final prototype (yellow version) is able to spray and clean the glasses with the systems we designed. The gear train controls both the rollers and spray CAMs.

Spray and Lid Prototype
The final spray prototype included aluminum levers for the spray heads, as 3D-printed levers were too flexible. The Lid includes mounts for the spray heads that secure them in place.

Shafts
The roller shafts were custom-made D-shafts so that they could couple with their respective gears. They unscrew in the middle in order to allow new roller covers to be put on.

2nd to Last Prototype
The prototype version included prototyped parts for every system and component. Changes needed to be made to the CAMs, box-sizing, and roller diameters.

Rollers
Rollers were prototyped out of TPU, with a sewn microfibre cloth exterior.

Tank
The tank is a Cell Culture Flask. This flask is a low-profile waterproof tank that can be attached to the back of the housing box. This was donated by the Kasza Living Materials Lab at Columbia.

Prototype Demo Gallery
The Prototype can be used to clean dirty and smudged glasses. As can be seen there is still plenty of work that could be done to finalize and refine parts of the design, but it is proof of concept.
